iPhone 3G purchase and activation will be in-store only
Massive, massive, massive blow against unlockers and jailbreakers. If the only way to buy an iPhone is by going to a store and signing a contract with AT&T, there’s no easy way to unlock and jailbreak it, short of paying the early termination fee (which I’m gonna guess it’s pretty stiff) or pulling off an awesome heist. I’m thinking explosives, hacking the traffic system, souped-up Minis and Charlize Theron.
