Thanks to the thing I wrote about Helvetica Neue Light the other day, I’m getting a bunch of visits from people googling how to get Helvetica Neue Ultra Light to display correctly in Firefox 3. As of Firefox 3.2a1, it doesn’t work, apparently because of a bug in OS X (bug 5781372.) WebKit displays it correctly because it includes a workaround for the problem, so maybe if enough people vote for this bug, Mozilla might include a similar fix in Firefox.

An early developer preview release of Fennec, AKA the mobile version of Firefox, available for the Nokia N810 Internet Tablet and as a desktop version for Windows, OS X and Linux. I hope Mozilla keeps releasing these standalone versions after Mobile Firefox ships, I’m sure they’ll come in handy for testing.

First public preview release of Firefox 3.1. Includes nifty goodies like support for new CSS 2.1 and CSS 3 properties (@font-face, text-shadow, moz-box-shadow, among others), support for the W3C Geolocation API and a cool-looking Exposé-like tab switching. Here’s the full changelist.

What’s the first obvious thing to make with the new Pownce API Leah just announced? A bookmarklet to post links quickly to Pownce. Drag this sucker to your bookmarks bar and Pownce away, my friends.
If you’d rather use the activities feature of Internet Explorer 8, feel free to install the Pownce activity, which pretty much does the same thing as the bookmarklet. It’s also compatible with Firefox, courtesy of Michael Kaply’s activities extension.
